At Tech Core, our focus is on developing emerging technologies, empowering UArizona students with advanced technical experience, and digitally transforming technology education by integrating tech throughout Eller College of Management curricula.

We do not hire based on major, previous experience, or formal education in a subject. We hire based on an individuals' tenacity for problem solving, good-humored personality, and passion for technology.

We are a full-stack development team which includes: .NET and .NETCore, HTML/CSS/JS, C#, SQL Server, React and React Native, Adobe Creative Cloud, Unity, Blender, and more.

We are passionate about and intrapreneurshp and encourage students to actively contribute to our business strategies. Being a member of Tech Core means having a say in our how team is run and bringing new ideas to the table.

Machine Learning Developer

As a machine learning developer, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that involve image recognition, AI, and big data. You'll work in a full-stack environment and learn a variety of languages and software including Java, Python, and SQL Server. Expertise or formal training in the subject is NOT required, just the passion and drive to learn and understand how it works and how to solve problems with it.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is interested in machine learning and/or other related concepts such as algorithms, image recognition, big data processing, statistics, natural language processsing, artificial intelligence, etc.
  • Has taken the time to experiment with and/or research any of the above concepts for fun or personal interest.
  • Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies and is open to experimenting with novel practices and how they can be applied in research and business.

Mobile (React Native) Developer

As a mobile applications developer, you will have the opportunity to work in a full-stack environment to develop, test, and deploy cross-platform mobile apps in React Native. You will work closely with the creative team to turn Adobe Xd wireframes into functioning prototypes and the UI/UX team for user-testing. You'll learn a vide variety of languages and skills including React and React Native, JSX, .NETCore, C#, SQL Server, and Expo. Expertise or formal training in the subject is NOT required, just the passion and drive to learn and understand how it works and how to solve problems with it.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is interested in mobile app development and has a keen understanding of mobile user-interface design.
  • Has taken the time to create or experiment with app development, coding, and/or web development for fun or personal interest
  • Stays current with mobile app trends and is comfortable working in front-end and back-end design.

Hardware/Prototyping Developer

As a hardware/prototyping developer, you will get to work hands-on with technologies like Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, 3D printers, 3D modeling, and more. You will learn to program computing devices, connect them to software, and build out physical prototypes. You will also learn about 3D modeling in Blender and 3D printing models to make physical prototypes. Expertise or formal training in the subject is NOT required, just the passion and drive to learn and understand how it works and how to solve problems with it.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is heavily interested in how things work on a mechanical level, and enjoys working with their hands taking apart, fixing, and/or building computers and other electronic devices.
  • Has taken the time to build or experiment with computing boards such as Raspberry Pis and/or Arduinos, and/or is interested in 3D modeling and 3D printng.
  • Stays current and up-to-date with latest technology, hardware, and device trends.
